Mercier Generations+ and Generations Intact 2500 finishes meet the Greenguard Gold environmental certification standards. They are free from harmful chemical substances, emit no VOC emissions that are dangerous to human health, and help reduce the propagation of bacterial, germs and molds to keep any environment hygienic and sanitary.

Our finishes contain plant-based oil.

Microfragmented aluminum particles create a multipoint contact surface that provides increased scratch through resistance and retains the floor's original luster for longer.

Clear and invisible protection
The finely textured and clear matte sheen of the Generations Intact 2500 finish helps hide compression marks and everyday wear and tear.

Anti-perforation finish
TABER tests show that the Generations Intact 2500 finishing system is the toughest in the industry, requiring 2,500 rotations to wear the finish down to bare wood.

Flexible
The polymers and multi sized aluminum particles in the Generations Intact 2500 finish cleave to marks and prevents flaking, making it the most flexible finish on the market.

The nontoxic antimicrobial treatment helps keep your home healthy by reducing the risk of bacteria and mold growth.

Repels water on the floor surface
The molecule adhesion between the Generations Intact 2500 finish and the surface of the wood creates a barrier that repels water and other liquids in the event of spills. This permanent bond prevents the finish from peeling.

Hypoallergenic and stain resistant
The stains don't go through the finish and are easy to wipe off.

Non-yellowing
The non-yellowing treatment consists of two distinct UV screens that protect the original color of the floor from light sources that could alter it:
- A UV screen that prevents the finish from yellowing when exposed to natural or artificial lighting.
- A protective UV screen that delays and reduces the natural yellowing of the wood.

The TABER test involves mounting a portion of a finished board onto a turntable fitted with sheets of abrasive paper.

The degree of resistance is evaluated based on the number of rotations it takes to completely wear down the finish. The higher the number of cycles, the more resistant the finish.
